Bloom Lounge
DESCRIPTION:
The ambition of this proposal is to create an atmosphere ofcontinuous variation in both color andtexture while adhering to the strict budgetary restrictions mandated by theproject brief. With colors ranging in intensity from the intimate to theintense, BLOOM LOUNGE provides an atmosphere fitting to that of the VIP,a space wherein the visually captivating, carefully curated placement ofseating, and cocktails lead to an evening of interest and intrigue.
The formal and coloration concept of BLOOM LOUNGE findsinspiration in the iconic Magnolia flower. A flower of incredible diversity,the Magnolia offers a rich palette of color, form, and texture from which todevelop both the visual as well as tactile dimensions of our proposal. Fromthis, we have identified three major scales of visual articulation: the Petal,the Flower, and the Field of Blossoms as means to achieve a dynamic range ofatmosphere for the VIP Lounge.
The Petal is represented by a 2-Dimensional cut pattern, wherebythe tactile dimension of the project finds form. The Flower isrepresented through the combination of unique color and formal texture. Lastly,the Field of Blossoms are represented by the collective affect achievedthrough the sampling and abstraction of a Magnolia image.
